Vancouver, BC — September 23, 2025 — Krystal Growth Partners (“Krystal”) is pleased to announce it has made a strategic minority equity investment in Forecast Coffee Group, a BC‑based specialty coffee brand founded by Jim Salusbury. The investment will support Forecast in accelerating its growth across café new openings in Vancouver and regionally, wholesale distribution, and consumer retail channels under the Forecast Coffee and Wilder Cookies & Bakery brands. Krystal is partnering with Jim, Founder & CEO of Forecast, and Kyle Nordman of Brakne Holdings, who is joining as an investment partner.
Founded in Whistler and rooted in outdoor and community culture, Forecast aims to build BC’s most recognized next-generation lifestyle specialty coffee brand with omnichannel revenue streams, a growing following, and clear competitive differentiation: high-quality and accessible specialty coffee, design-forward and welcoming spaces, expanded product offering, and food-forward approach. Forecast’s purpose-driven mission is backed by a 1% Forecast Impact Initiative and a B-Corp Certification.
Jim Salusbury, Founder & CEO of Forecast, said, “Partnering with Krystal and Brakne gives us the fuel and expertise we need to enhance operational efficiency and continue to grow in BC’s specialty coffee and consumer packaged goods market. We’ve built a strong foundation and this investment lets us accelerate growth while staying true to our commitments to our local communities, quality and innovation, and our purpose as a B-Corporation.”
Avery Holland, Principal at Krystal Growth Partners, stated, “We are excited to support the Forecast team. We believe their multi‑channel strategy is well conceived and poised for scale. Forecast’s commitment to operational discipline and community connection makes them exactly the type of partner Krystal values.”
