Vancouver, BC — June 16, 2025 — Krystal Growth Partners (“Krystal”) is pleased to announce it has completed the sale of its portfolio company, Magnum Trailer & Equipment (“Magnum”), to the Merritt family of companies (“Merritt”) which is comprised of Merritt Aluminum Products and Merritt Trailers.
Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Magnum operates three distinct business segments: manufacturing heavy-duty aftermarket Truck Accessories, manufacturing and distributing highly customized on- and off-highway truck Trailers, and Servicing and maintaining the fleets of mid-sized transportation companies.
Since Krystal’s partnership in 2012, Magnum has achieved several significant milestones, including expanding its manufacturing facilities in Abbotsford and building an international supply chain for its Truck Accessories division. The sale of Magnum is a successful conclusion to Krystal’s 13 year partnership.
Under Merritt’s ownership, the combination with Magnum is expected to provide:
- A broader, stronger product portfolio
- Expanded customer support and distribution networks
- Accelerated innovation and engineering capabilities
- Technology and operational efficiencies
All divisions of Magnum will benefit from the combination, with a particularly close collaboration between Truck Accessories and Merritt Aluminum Products due to the highly complementary nature of their products.
